Do not create a page about your business as this is not a good way to do this. It is best to create a profile about yourself, and also include information on your business, as people hate to be solicited for business.
By having a profile that is both personal and business based, you should be able to generate interest in your business, and gain customers/sales. There are many social networking websites out there, but it is best to join one of the big ones like Facebook, Yahoo 360 etc as more people gives you more of a chance of doing well.
